VP of Consumer Products
Ramsey Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Consumer Products who has an entrepreneurial spirit, is results-driven, and has a background in creating, vetting, and driving new products. You will need to wear a product manager hat and be both a Ramsey expert and understand what works and doesn’t work in the marketplace.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our product strategy (physical vs digital products), ensuring we are delivering innovative products that meet the needs of our tribe and drive profitable growth. This individual will be responsible for managing the P&L for the consumer products division, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share. This P&L also contains the profits and loss for our publishing arm, Ramsey Press.
The VP of Consumer Products will be widely recognized as a committed, passionate, trustworthy and credible leader throughout Ramsey Solutions who ensures collaboration, alignment and shared outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to manage and execute multiple concurrent projects, prove the business case for new product ideas and lead the charge for launch. The VP of Consumer Products will also possess personal and professional integrity, strong moral character, exceptional communication and presentation skills, as well as an excellent professional presence.
WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE:
The Vice President of Consumer Products will:
- Lead the development and execution of our product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams, including Publishing, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Sales, and Personalities, to ensure alignment with overall company goals and mission.
- Learn and enhance the P&L for the consumer products division, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Actively collaborate with the Executive Director of Ramsey Press and the accounting team so that the constant fluctuation in COGs as well as other line items are appropriately managed and predicted.
- Create, vet, and drive new products, including conducting market research, identifying customer needs and opportunities, and evaluating product feasibility.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, industry partners, and suppliers to ensure a deep understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
- Develop trust. After developing trust, push and challenge the way we have always looked at adding revenue and managed expenses so that we can get better.
FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCES, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and professional experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in physical product development, management, and marketing, with a proven track record of success in delivering innovative products that drive growth.
- Strong business acumen, including the ability to manage a P&L, analyze financial data, and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for creating and driving new products.
