Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church.
 
Our Content and Creative Services Department is recruiting for a Web Experience- Summer Hire currently in college or graduate school to assist them with CPG’s Website, CMS Content and DAM Image Implementations.
  • Two month Assignment: June 2026 through July 2026
  • In-Office, three days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • 9am to 5pm ET

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
                                                                                                                                                          
Update website content to align with Editorial Style standards
  • Review and correct inconsistencies in published content in specific website sections for alignment with our editorial style guide
  • Support the Phone Number Standardization Continuous Improvement project
 
CMS Content Cleanup and Organization
  • Audit and reorganize CMS Asset Pane folder structure, and rename blocks for easier identification
  • Archive expired pages and other types of assets (PDFs, Blocks, Images)
  • Test and archive unused or broken Vanity URLs
  • Apply expiration date rules uniformly to support better long-term maintenance
  • Ensure listing information is complete and up to date for PDF files
 
DAM Image Implementation
  • Identify images currently hosted outside the DAM, and replace them with DAM-hosted images (either the same or updated)
 
Portal GPS and Forms & Publications Audit
  • Review and update existing documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Audit the current state GPS content and Forms and Pubs Library, assess and create a plan for rebuilding and retagging

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Meticulous attention to detail, comfortable with repetitive tasks. English written communication and proofreading abilities.
  • Basic familiarity with a Content Management System (CMS)(prior experience with WordPress, Drupal, Squarespace, or any CMS is sufficient — not necessarily Optimizely)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 digital tools (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Copilot, etc.)
  • Comfortable navigating and learning new web tools.
  • Comfortable working independently, following instructions, and asking questions when something is unclear
Nice to Have (not required):
  • Experience with Optimizely CMS and/or a digital asset management platform (DAM).
  • Exposure to content strategy, information architecture, or UX writing. Familiarity with basic HTML or web publishing concepts

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS or Graduate program in: Communications, Digital Media / Digital Communications, Journalism, Library Science / Information Science, MarketingUX Writing or Technical Writing

Extensive use of a computer keyboard is a demand of the position to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

Working in CPG’s Midtown Manhattan  office Tuesdays through Thursdays. Church Pension Group employees must maintain a professional, compassionate, and trustworthy work environment always.
