Hourly Pay Rate: $15.12 to $17.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are hiring Caregivers/Direct Support Professionals to join the Area Agency on Aging (AAoA) team, providing essential short-term care for elderly clients. Our services include personal care and light housekeeping for a few hours per week, with opportunities to serve multiple clients, creating a flexible, part-time role. Shifts are available throughout the Valley (Phoenix, East, and Maricopa areas), allowing us to find an arrangement that suits your schedule.

Work Schedule
- Fridays: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00 am - 8:00 am

Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, high-quality care for elderly clients in supportive living and day programs
- Follow individualized service plans, teaching and assisting with daily living activities, leisure skills, and community engagement
- Adhere to HIPAA standards to ensure client confidentiality
- Perform facility cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
- Plan and prepare well-balanced meals/snacks according to dietary requirements
- Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, changing adult briefs, brushing teeth, shaving, and dressing assistance
- Maintain body balance for safe support of clients during various activities
- Assess and respond to client behavior appropriately
- Collaborate with program staff across departments as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- A combination of education, training, and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical at the time of hire
- Completion of Copa’s training program per the requirements of funding sources, such as the Division of Developmental Disabilities and/or Department of Health Services
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass other required background checks, including a drug screen
- For driving roles: a valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire, 39-month Motor Vehicle Record, and proof of insurance and vehicle registration
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
