Who We're looking for
Copa Health is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support individuals in our community and housing-based programs across the East Valley. In this hands-on role, you’ll promote safety, wellness, and recovery by providing daily support, skill-building, and active treatment aligned to each person’s treatment/behavior plan.
 
Key Responsibilities
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:
  • Provide consistent monitoring and support to ensure member safety and well-being
  • Assist, teach, coach, and mentor members in daily living skills (hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, community resources, activities, etc.)
  • Support members with self-administration of medication and maintain corresponding records
  • Safely transport members to appointments and community activities
  • Promote health and wellness activities and support recovery goals
  • Help plan meals and prepare well-balanced menus that meet dietary needs
  • Document clinical services accurately and on time within the member record
  • Maintain required billable hours and performance standards
  • Report incidents, accidents, infections/infestations, and follow required procedures
  • Follow agency policies, licensure standards, and training requirements
  • Complete other duties as needed to support program operations
Qualifications
You’re a great fit if you have one of the following:
  • HS diploma/GED plus 2–3 years of behavioral health experience, OR
  • Associate degree plus 1–2 years of behavioral health experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) plus 1 year of behavioral health experience
  • Experience working with multicultural and low socio-economic populations
  • At least 21 years old
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or eligible to receive within 8 weeks of hire)
  • Reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver’s License, and acceptable driving record
  • TB test clearance and Physical at time of hire
