This executive role is instrumental in ensuring the fiscal health of our diverse healthcare and behavioral health programs, overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management to support our mission-driven organization.
Copa Health is seeking a Vice President of Finance (VP of Finance) to provide strategic financial leadership and operational oversight to drive financial sustainability, efficiency, and growth. This executive role is instrumental in ensuring the fiscal health of our diverse healthcare and behavioral health programs, overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management to support our mission-driven organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA highly preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior finance role experience required.
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit finance is strongly preferred.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent designation is a plus.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive team to drive financial sustainability and long-term strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as nonprofit financial reporting standards.
- Lead financial risk management efforts, including internal controls, audits, and contract management.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, reimbursement strategies, and payer relations to optimize financial performance.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess financial health, operational efficiency, and program impact.
- Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
