Who We Need:
Copa Health is seeking a Clinical Leader who can integrate a recovery-oriented philosophy into everyday clinical practice and operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. This position involves both administrative duties and direct client care. The Clinical Director will supervise staff, develop program policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsible for the quality and responsiveness of clinical service delivery. Develops and oversees clinical staff and activities that reflect best clinical practice, recovery culture and ensures that program services are provided in accordance with Copa policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws, regulation and licensure/accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for oversight of counseling and clinical services provided at the assigned outpatient site.
  • Consistently communicates the Copa vision and mission to staff and behavioral health recipients.
  • Facilitates the integration of a recovery philosophy into everyday clinical practice and clinic operations.
  • Manages and oversees Behavior Modification services for high-acuity referrals.
  • Conducts assessments and develops treatment plans in collaboration with members and their families.
  • Maintains a caseload in providing individual, group, and family therapy to children/adolescents and or adults.
  • Promotes a professional practice environment and cultivates collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the company aimed at supporting the organization in maintaining or improving its clinical operations and member care outcomes.
  • Provides and delivers interventions and services geared toward improving member care, member and staff education, and utilization of resources.
  • Responsible for overall clinical leadership and the clinical care provided by the staff with emphasis on coordination between clinical disciplines, coordination of clinical activities of the program, implementation and adherence to Copa policies, procedures, clinical guidelines, etc.
  • Delivers and manages the clinical supervision for all unlicensed clinical staff. Serves as mentor, coach and educator for clinical staff, particularly in the area of assessment and treatment planning, ensuring adherence to Copa philosophy, goals and best practices.
  • Provides oversight to staff participation in continuing education programs.
  • Uses qualitative and quantitative outcomes and analyzes data to identify performance gaps, initiate training, mentoring or performance improvement activities to assist individual staff to deliver quality behavioral health care. 
  • Participates in recruitment, selection, hiring, training, professional development and performance evaluation and management of assigned staff.
  • Maintains 24 hours/day, 7 days/week availability for urgent/crisis clinical needs; appoints a designee in the event of non-availability.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in behavioral health, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
  • Independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Clinical Psychologist is required.
  • Must possess a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to obtain one within eight (8) weeks of hire.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and meet the company’s driving requirements.
