Job Summary:

Ensure the provision of quality services in the Employment Related Services department, providing coverage on-site and for community enclaves as assigned. Coordinate the daily crew activities for enclave, including training and supervising crew on-site or at enclave, ensuring we meet the company’s quality, quantity and timeline standards. Develop and maintain a successful business relationship with the company we are providing work for. Provide training and orientation on assigned tasks to all participants as needed. Track daily work, activities, goals, observations, engagement, interactions and document daily on electronic records in Therap.  Adhere to the philosophy of normalization and community integration as appropriate for assigned individualsCommunicate any concerns and or accomplishments to Section Supervisor or Program Coordinator. Be aware of individuals’ physical restrictions and medical concerns.  Be aware of normal safety routines and procedures as they apply to worksite settings.  Ensure that all equipment utilized is properly maintained.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed.  Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health (HITECH ) requirements.
  • Coordinate information and contribute to the successful resolution of challenges. Communicate with integrity and honesty, clearly and concisely, and in a respectful manner to all team members.  Ensure the confidentiality of written, verbal and electronic communications pertaining to members, staff, families of consumers and agency operations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional, respectful, productive working relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members, funding sources, individuals receiving services, families utilizing or enquiring about services, customers and the community. 
  • Help to develop and implement member objectives/goals. Adhere to the philosophy of normalization.
  • Document daily progress notes, quarterlies and/or incident reports as needed. Review records of assigned individuals, including funding source guidelines. Provide assistance and coverage during staff shortages as needed.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of administrative tasks to include quarterly summaries, attendance and member payroll sheets.
  • Attend meetings and actively participate in internal and external committees as assigned. Perform special projects and committee tasks when applicable.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of modern principles, methods and techniques of administration and program planning and implementation.  Demonstrate ability to develop and revise departmental systems.  Maintain knowledge of resources that serve individuals with disabilities.  Demonstrate knowledge of funding sources.
  • Demonstrate ability to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities as related to our agency values.
  • Work cooperatively with applicable staff and interdepartmentally.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Requires a high school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).

2. Prefer some experience working with people with disabilities, but it is not necessary.

3. Satisfactory work record as determined by the People First/Human Resources Department.

4. Successful completion of Copa’s training program.

5. Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire    

6. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.

7. Must have a valid AZ Drivers License and ability to meet and maintain Copa Healths acceptable driving requirements.

• Ensure that all equipment utilized is properly maintained.

Ensure that agency procedure, licensing, monitoring, certification, regulatory and accreditation standards

  related to health and safety are maintained.

Promptly reports to supervisor the malfunction of equipment, or vehicles.

Promptly reports potential infections/infestations, accidents, and incidents.

Assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
