Who We’re Looking For

We’re actively seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to join our team in the East and West Valley. This is a Monday through Friday role, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
As a Peer Recovery Coach, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality services at your assigned work sites, aligned with our mission to provide compassionate care. You will help implement person-centered planning and clinically appropriate practices for individuals with mental illness, while ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Age 21+ with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Peer Support Certification (preferred). If uncertified, you’ll need to complete the training within 90 days of hire through Copa Health.
  • Personal lived experience that meets AHCCCS requirements for Peer Support Certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and meet agency personnel requirements.
  • Eligibility to meet Copa Health driver requirements, including a valid AZ driver’s license, a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and current AZ registration and insurance.
  • Willingness to work in the community, using your personal vehicle for 80% field-based work and 20% office-based tasks.
  • Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing/walking for 70-90% of work time and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Proof of negative TB screening or chest x-ray, as applicable.

Job Summary

In this role, you will:
  • Utilize your own recovery experience to inspire and guide others on their recovery journey.
  • Serve as a dedicated coach, helping individuals enhance their quality of life.
  • Advocate for and coordinate comprehensive, individualized services for program participants.
  • Perform administrative tasks that support program goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and effective communication within the agency.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, community partners, and agency departments.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation, contract requirements, and all regulatory standards.
  • Provide recovery-oriented, person-centered, and culturally sensitive services.
  • Assist individuals in accessing community resources and vocational/educational opportunities.
  • Support members in achieving their self-directed Recovery Vision objectives.
  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings and serve as a liaison for individuals and families as needed.
  • Take on additional duties as required to meet program needs.
