Who We're looking for

We are seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional who enjoys being a compassionate leader. The Lead Direct Support Professional will provide individualized and quality services to members with disabilities in group home. They will also follows and teach using service plans, teaching/performing daily living skills, leisure skill and planning community involvement activities. Present necessary information at staff meetings and acts as a liaison for family concerns, as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist members with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility, etc.)  
  • Transport members and assist with appointments
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment
  • Mentor, train, and support DSP staff 
  • Act as a liaison for families and team communication
  • Help resolve challenges and support program operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation (service plans, logs, reports, etc.)  

 

 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required  
  • At least 1 year of experience in direct care, behavioral health, or disabilities field  
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Experience with documentation and care coordination preferred
  • Valid AZ driver’s license & acceptable driving record (if required)
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/assist (50+ lbs., team lift)
  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement
  • Ability to assist with transfers and mobility support
