We currently have a full-time Carpet Technician opening, located at our Administrative Offices in Mesa AZ. 

Starting pay: $14.50-$15.50 hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Saturday 
Location: Mesa, Arizona 85210


Job Summary
Floor Care Technician is responsible for hard floor care and carpet cleaning in single family homes, commercial sites, multi-family housing and other janitorial work as assigned. Complete work orders for carpet and ceramic tile cleaning in accordance with agency operating procedures and applicable standards and regulations, to assure the safety and security of all Copa facilities.  This role involves assessing customer needs, advising on the best products for the job, and ensuring the highest quality of work is completed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meeting with clients to discuss their cleaning needs.
  • Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned.
  • Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors.
  • Carefully removing furniture to access all areas that need to be cleaned.
  • Cleaning carpets and floors using machine and hand-washing techniques.
  • Drying carpets using drying machines.
  • Resetting the furniture.
  • Complete administrative tasks according to established timelines to include, but not limited to: completion of time sheet, completion of work order forms, documentation of departmental expenses, completion of other reports as requested.                  
  • Additional janitorial duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous work experience as a carpet cleaning technician or janitorial service.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of professional carpet and tile care.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver’s License with state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet and maintain Copa Health’s acceptable driving requirements.
  • Pre-Employment Physical clearance required

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, problem solve, and work effectively in an individual and team environment.
