Pay: $20.61/hour

About the Role
Copa Health is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician (Lead BHT) to guide day-to-day operations in one of our community and housing-based behavioral health programs. This is a working lead role — you’ll provide direct support to members while also serving as the go-to leader for BHT staff in the home.

What You’ll Do
As a Lead BHT, you will:
  • Lead daily program operations to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and Copa Health policies
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and trainer to BHT staff
  • Communicate program expectations and updates to staff in partnership with the Program Manager
  • Review daily billed-units/productivity reports and support staff in meeting required standards
  • Recognize high performers and coach team members needing support; help implement improvement plans
  • Create weekly activity schedules to boost member engagement and recovery goals
  • Track and request required monthly scorecard documents from clinical teams
  • Maintain key program records (room checks, health surveys, safety/supply checklists, trackers, etc.)
  • Ensure documentation is completed within 24 hours and incident reports are submitted on time
  • Coordinate staffing and participate in leadership meetings
  • Oversee resident schedules, appointments, medications (as applicable), and home cleanliness/maintenance standards
  • Use de-escalation and crisis-defusing techniques to maintain safety and stability
Minimum Qualifications
You’re a great fit if you have one of the following:
  • HS Diploma/GED plus 2–3 years of behavioral health experience, OR
  • Associate degree plus 1–2 years of behavioral health experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) plus 1 year of behavioral health experience
Also required:
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Experience supporting multicultural and low socio-economic populations
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain within 8 weeks of hire)
  • TB test clearance at hire and annually
