Starting pay: $20-$25 DOE 
Who we need:
The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of repair tasks and ongoing facility maintenance at Copa Health facilities. Responsibilities include repairing equipment, maintaining plumbing, performing drywall repairs, addressing electrical issues, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and coordinating major repairs when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and heating systems.
  • Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire    
  • Must have valid AZ Driver’s License, state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet and maintain the company's acceptable driving requirements. 
  • Successfully completes a pre-employment drug screening. 
  • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually. 
  • Pre-Employment Physical clearance required. 
 JOB SUMMARY
  • Keep the facility operational by repairing problems before they worsen.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as structural repairs (e.g., window, door, or wall repairs).
  • Maintain and repair water heaters, appliances, and other building fixtures.
  • Repair plumbing issues, such as leaks or clogs, to prevent water damage and ensure full use of water systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged electrical wiring.
  • Implement preventative measures, such as applying sealant to roofs, to reduce the risk of future problems.
  • Address and repair potential safety hazards to ensure a safe environment.
  • Paint the facility when necessary, addressing areas with faded or chipped paint.
  • Resolve and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the facility's landscaping and grounds.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by following operator instructions for power tools, using protective gear (e.g., goggles, hearing protectors, back supports, gloves), reporting unsafe activities, and following safety precautions. Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
