Standard work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am 4:00pm
 
Hourly Pay Rate: $18
  
Who We Need   
Looking for an employment specialist who will Assist with oversight of the Supported Employment Program for members with a diagnosed Mental Health challenge (GMH or SMI) seeking to obtain and/or maintain employment in the community. Follow the 7 Supported Employment Core Principals of SAMHSA (zero exclusion, member preference, rapid job search, competitive employment, integrated services, long-term supports and benefits planning.) Complete outreach and enrollments for newly referred members. Adhere to the philosophy of normalization and community integration as appropriate. Attend meetings on assigned caseload; communicate with clinical team any concerns and or accomplishments, presenting information in a professional manner. Be aware of individuals’ physical restrictions and medical concerns.  Be aware of normal safety routines and procedures as they apply services. Ensure that all equipment utilized is properly maintained.
   
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in social services preferred.
  • 1+ year as an Employment Specialist or 2 years experience in the behavioral health field. 
  • Satisfactory work record and completion of Copa’s training program.
  • Must have or obtain an AZ Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card within 8 weeks of hire.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and TB test clearance required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver’s License, and insurance required.
JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)   
  • Support departmental operations to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and effective communication across the agency.
  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed. 
  • Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health (HITECH ) requirements. 
  • Monitor health and safety standards, responding to concerns and completing incident reports as needed.
  • Carry a caseload of 25 or more, assist members with job searching and career planning, and attend relevant meetings.
