Who We Need

Copa Health is a leading provider of comprehensive community behavioral health services, delivering world-class, high-quality, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care to those in need. Join our team of dedicated professionals and make a difference in the lives of our community members. 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our East Valley Integrated Health Home Outpatient program in Mesa, AZ to provide essential integrated behavioral health support to our community. The Counselors will work with individuals and families to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic intervention that promotes mental and emotional well-being.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field plus 1-2 years of behavioral health experience.
  • Must be licensed at the Associate level and working towards obtaining Independent licensure by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW). 
  • Experience providing counseling and therapy in a community behavioral health setting with high-acuity members is highly preferred. 
  • Good academic and working knowledge of DSM IV, State SMI checklist, Community Resources, Psychotropic Medication, Crisis Intervention, Clinical Methods and Procedures, and Intervention Techniques
  • Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn new software systems, i.e., EMR/EHR applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to providing care to a diverse community.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks.
  • Bi-Lingual, (English/Spanish) preferred.

JOB SUMMARY (Including, but not limited to)

  • Provides services to include but are not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, group therapy, coordination of care with members, and staffing meetings as appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate members’ progress and provide ongoing assessment and feedback.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Completes and maintains all clinical documentation in a timely manner in accordance with Copa Health’s policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
