Who We Need

The Lead Recovery Coach provides quality services to empower and support individuals with mental health disabilities live an everyday lifestyle.  These services are provided in a group and or community setting.  Provides assistance to the Program Coordinator with the daily operations, new hire training, and activities in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. 

Immediately Hiring a Lead Recovery Coach for East Village Day Program located in Mesa. Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:00pm.

Hourly Starting Pay Rate: $16.63 DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Assist, teach, coach, and mentor members in group settings. Teach and introduce a variety of topics and skills that fit within the 8 dimensions of wellness. Including but limited to: self-care, emotional health, personal finances, music, culture, environmental awareness, relationship building etc.
  • Ensure the wellbeing of the individuals served and provide a daily structure of support groups, classes, community outings, work exploration activities, etc.
  • Design, plan, and implement lesson plans to teach skills and present ideas in a group setting using a “Tell, Show, Do” model. 
  • Plan and prepare of monthly menus consisting of healthy meals that also meet individual diet needs as required.
  • Assist with training newly hired staff to ensure an effective onboarding process.
  • Responsible for ensuring activities and schedules run properly including: community outings, groups, and paperwork and documentation is complete.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in leading staff meetings and communication of information, accordingly.
  • Assures positive member outcomes by providing exceptional member care and timely documentation of services by consistently meeting optimal engagement and performance standards. 
  • Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum HS diploma/GED and three (3) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field preferred.
  • Must demonstrate or possess the ability to lead and work as a team.
  • Previous supervisory experience in leading a team is highly preferred.
  • Peer Support Certification preferred.
  • Must have a valid AZ Driver’s License and ability to meet and maintain Copa Health’s acceptable driving requirements
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
  • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
  • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
