Sales Representatives are responsible for estimating, scheduling and managing projects with general contractors. Also responsible for following up with general contractors and developing relationships with them in order to gain the opportunity to provide our goods and services on future projects. This is a demanding role due to the high volume calls, emails, quote requests, and projects. This role requires a highly driven person that knows the commercial door industry and who is able to think creatively to solve the various challenges in the field. 

Essential Functions

  • Analyze plans, specifications and other project documents in detail to develop a cost estimate for projects
  • Schedule and project manage the project from beginning to end, including preparing hardware schedules, and effectively communicating with the general contractors
  • Effectively communicate with the general contractors throughout a project, including troubleshooting and being able to address any questions asked
  • Responsible for writing and processing orders once the project is sold
  • Coordinates and attend job site meetings according to the customer's schedule and requirements
  • Discuss projects with installers and sub-contractors to make sure work runs smoothly
  • Keep project files orderly and current
  • Develop technical aspects of the business that allow you to resolve many field problems and to become a resource for your customers’ needs
  • Manage any project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and change order documents and make revisions in Comsense

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
  • Experience with the commercial door and hardware industry required
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience with sales, and project management a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comsense Opening Solutions experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Door Hardware, Access Control and Locks

Physical Demands

This job operates in a fast paced, demanding professional office environment. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, team player, deadline and goal oriented.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
