Description

 

Summary

Assemble cores, cut keys, and build lever sets according to customer specifications. Maintain productivity to ensure timelines are met. Reference and update key records. Will also assemble product based on project needs. Will ship completed orders.

Essential Functions

  • Key and pin large and small format interchangeable cores
  • Meet or exceed minimum required KPI standards for the job:
    • KPI No.1 – 12 Cores per Hour
    • KPI No.2 – No More than one (1) quality assurance (QA) Return per Day
    • KPI No.3
  • Cut keys, including referencing and updating key records
  • Assist internal/external customers with technical questions
  • Ship completed orders using shipping terminal, work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Assist Production Supervisor and Production Lead as required
  • Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and the company’s time and attendance system
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screens

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as key records, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Great attention to detail required

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand on feet for short periods of time and be up and down between a counter work area and inventory. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment

Worker is subject to proximity of machinery and using various tools and hardware.
