Position Summary:

The VP New Product Development, Cuisinart Electrics will own full responsibility for driving new product development and innovation in the small appliance division for the United States.  This person will manage the product developers, engineering and test kitchen teams. The VP New Product Development will work closely with the CCL Hong Kong office and our Asian production facilities. 


  • Drive new product development and innovation
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the Cuisinart brand strategy
  • Lead and motivate a new product development team
  • Develop and mentor talent
  • Work closely with sales, insights, and communications teams on product marketing strategies from launch through the product lifecycle
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 10+ years leading a New Product Development team.
  • Extensive experience working for a premium brand in the consumer goods industry.
  • Ideal candidate must be up-to-date on marketing tools, platforms and resources.
  • Successful past record building a rich brand experience and leading campaigns at $100M+ brands acclaimed for their strategic, creative and effective brand storytelling.
  • Success executing brand marketing campaigns across multiple channels to drive growth with a digital first attitude and a focus on tangible business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence cross functionally to develop successful go-to-market plans and drive continual process improvement.
  • Experience working with Asian sourcing and suppliers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with management, peers and team. Ability to formulate strategies, present ideas clearly and champion business thinking, consumer and marketing thinking and analyses.
  • Ability to engage with leadership team, cross functional leaders, corporate leadership and other divisional leaders on matters of strategy and execution.

Financial Scope:
  • Full P&L responsibility
  • Accountable for budget, business and financial results in support of company financial objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates to optimize marketing investments.
  • Develop analytics and data management capabilities needed to compare and maximize the effectiveness of marketing expenditures.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly metrics and performance achievement updates.

 Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business approximately 30% of the time.
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
