Facility Physical Environment: Dodge County Jail-Competency Restoration Program.
Essential Duties: Provide comprehensive competency restoration services in an efficient manner to individuals who are experiencing mental illness and have been found incompetent to stand trial.
Other Responsibilities:
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating Individuals
- carrying a caseload of around 30 patients and treating Individuals suffering from mental illness with a goal of restoration of competency to stand trial
- Admitting Individuals to the program and monitor their clinical progress
- Establishing Individuals to the program and monitor their clinical progress
- Providing a Bio-Psycho-Social treatment to Individuals suffering from mental illness
- Participating in treatment team meetings and case conferences
- Writing treatment plans and clinical reports
- Participating in various clinical quality assurance activities
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team with Psychologists, Mental Health Clinicians, Nurses, ancillary clinicians, and security staff
- Liaison with Courts, Justice department and other law enforcement agencies
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Medicine in Psychiatry
- Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Must possess a Georgia medial license which is active, current and in good standing or eligible to secure Georgia medical licensure.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
