The Columbus Organization is seeking full time Clinical Psychologists to support the Behavioral Health Clinics and Marine Centered Medical Homeport Clinics at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC

Responsibilities

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch
No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call! 
 
Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the HCW include but are not limited to the following: 
Core Duties:
• Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
 
Additional Duties:
Provide concise documentation of care and recommendations in patient’s medical record in no less than 24 hours after the patient is seen.
Not exceed approximately 16 sessions per day to include individual and group appointments.
Participate in group medical appointments including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA) as requested by the PCM.
Provide technical direction and clinical insight into relevant projects being conducted at the site of service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree/ Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• Experience:
 A one year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine or possess one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
• Licensure: Possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a Psychologist 
* Life Support Certification:  Current AHA or ARC BLS Certifications.
* Security:  Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
