Salary Range: $225-275k

City, State: Bakersfield, CA

Shift Times: 8 am to 5 pm, M-F

Role and Responsibilities:

As a physician at this location, you will be providing medical evaluations as part of the assessment process to determine eligibility for potential clients. Additionally, the Physician provides consultation on medical matters to Assessment and Case management staff and other staff in their on-going efforts to serve clients within the Agency’s three counties: Kern, Inyo, and Mono. This on-site role, working out of any of our three locations, will require travel between offices.
Position Requirements:
  • Medical Degree (M.D.)
  • Possession of a license to practice medicine in the state issued by the State Board of Medical Examiners at the time of hire and ability to maintain license in good standing.
  • 2 + years in developmental disabilities or possession of MPH and 1+ years’ work with developmentally disabled and experience managing or working with programs for developmentally disabled.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by a specialty board such as pediatrics, internal medicine, neurology, family practice, or 2+ years post-graduate work, one of which must be in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • In addition to required education, a master’s degree in public health (MPH) may substitute for 1 year of experience.
