Clinical Supervisor
Description
The clinical supervisor will supervise intensive support coordinators (ISC) and will work with medical and behavioral complex cases. Each clinical supervisor may oversee a caseload of no more than 100 cases that are served by the ISC who provides the direct oversight and coordination of services for waiver participants. This is a Part-Time position.
1. Supervise ISC Coordinators and provide ongoing consultation to consist of joint visits, determining risk and unmet needs, and collaboration in identifying and securing medical/health resources.
2. Complete a review of 25% of caseloads on a quarterly basis to determine if all ISC services and protocols are being followed.
3. In conjunction with the Team Leaders and the Director, identifies training needs and develops plans for staff to better understand changes in policies, procedures, and regulations.
4. Responsible for conducting a minimum of one annual joint visit with each ISC participant on their supervisory caseload.
5. Provide ongoing consultation to determine risks and unmet needs and collaborate in identifying and securing resources.
7. Maintain familiarity with nursing or behavioral health care plans developed by provider agencies to ensure that ISCs understand the purpose and evaluate the efficacy of the plans.
8. Hold monthly supervisory sessions with each ISC that is assigned to review their caseload and the level of risk of everyone served.
9. Maintain availability between supervisory sessions to help the ISC solve problems around key participant issues, resolve service problems, and visit participants as part of their interdisciplinary team for clinical consultation and planning.
10. Maintains availability for SC/ISC to act as a resource for information when conducting ISP meetings and development of the plan.
Required Experience
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience with individuals with complex behavioral issues in a behavioral health setting related to individuals with ID/DD (i.e. ICF/IDD, psychiatric inpatient hospital/facility, specialty clinics, or other rehabilitation/habilitation settings).
2. Must have at minimum three (3) years’ experience providing home and community-based case management services for individuals with disabilities or other related disabilities.
3. Two years of experience in making recommendations as part of a client's service plan such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits.
4. Must be one of the following: Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker or a Registered Nurse.
5. Knowledge of staff oversight acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
