POSITION OVERVIEW: 

CMG Financial is hiring a Loan Servicing Specialist for their Servicing team.  They will be responsible for several areas of Loan Servicing.  Proper correspondence and communication based on industry regulations is required. 

We are looking to hire someone in the Troy, Michigan area who could work onsite in the future when open our Troy/Detroit Contact Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Work in a fast-paced contact center where Customers and Loan Officers make phone and email inquiries which require accurate responses.
• Deposit payments received by customers on a daily basis by company deadline.
• Deposit new loan receipts and set up new customer file.
• Ensure compliance within industry standards.
• Responsible for timely fed x processing.
• Data entry for payments, impounds, write offs etc.
• May process ACH Payments through company bank account.
• Responsible for research and written feedback regarding escrow/impounds.
• Will process any escrow overages and provide monthly reporting.
• Assist with managing the Sub Servicer with the Manager, Loan Servicing & Warehouse.
• Communication with sub servicer through emails, phone and reports.
• Mitigate calls between the borrower and sub services to resolve service issues.
• Review loan discrepancies (next payment, due date, lack of payment etc.) with sub servicer and ensure corrections to systems are made.
• Reconcile Correspondent loans with sub servicer.
• Create process and procedures regarding company and sub servicer working relationship.
• Assist and back-up Team Lead when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Five+ years previous experience in the mortgage industry required.
• Previous Loan Servicing experience is required.
• Previous accounting experience is preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Exemplary customer service skills and follow up skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Standard office environment, equipment and tasks, including work at a computer terminal.  This position requires partial sitting and moving throughout the day.  Employees must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.

CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $21.00 to $31.60 an hour. Factors that affect base salary may include: Loan Servicing experience, overall knowledge of loan servicing, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
