Description

The Mortgage Product Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful launch and ongoing management of mortgage products and investor relationships. The position plays a critical role in managing product eligibility within the CMG Loan Origination System (LOS), maintaining key external tools used by production teams, and ensuring adherence to credit guidelines to support compliant, well-managed business relationships.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Lead end-to-end rollout of new mortgage products across Agency, Non-Agency, and Brokered Out programs for Retail, Joint Ventures, Wholesale, and Correspondent channels.
  • Partner with Vendor Management, Legal, and internal stakeholders on investor and lender onboarding, approvals, and recertifications to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain product resources and documentation across all channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Serve as Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product guidelines, eligibility, and operational impacts.
  • Manage the Program Code library to ensure alignment with approved product parameters and system configurations.
  • Support document and compliance testing for new product launches and updates prior to release.
  • Act as system administrator for key origination and underwriting vendor platforms.
  • Contribute to weekly Corporate Memos, as needed, for product-related updates and communications.
  • Monitor and respond to the Corporate Credit inbox, providing timely and accurate product guidance.
  • Prepare product usage and performance reporting for VP of Product Development review and planning.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of mortgage industry experience, including working with investors and external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex product information accurately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

 

Base Compensation InformationCMG pays a salary which ranges from $80,000 - $95,000. Factors that affect salary may include: Strong mortgage product experience, overall knowledge of mortgage, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, education and geographic location.
