     Position Overview

    The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for the precision and integrity of employee data within Dayforce. This role serves as the primary gatekeeper for the employee lifecycle, ensuring that every system entry—from hire to retire—is audited for accuracy, compliance with signed offer letters, and K-SOX internal controls.

     

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Onboarding & Offboarding: Managing new hire setups, documentation, and departure processes. 
    • HRIS Management: Maintaining employee records, data auditing, and generating reports within the Human Resources Information System. 
    • Payroll & Benefits Support: Monitor and correct "Job Step" rate resets to prevent employee underpayment and retroactive payroll calculations and assisting with benefits enrollment.
    • Compliance & Administration: Ensuring legal compliance, updating policies, and managing employment documentation.
    • Workflow Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks, improving processes, and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • HR Support: Act as a centralized "Center of Excellence," relieving HR Managers of technical data entry tasks.
    • Employee Support: Addressing employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
    • Perform other related job duties as assigned or required.

     

    Required Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations or Data Entry.
    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
    • High proficiency in Dayforce HCM is required.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and an "audit-first" mindset.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and HR Managers.
    • Ability to analyze data and improve processes.

     

    Physical Requirements

    • This is largely a sedentary role requiring the physical ability to:
    • Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer
    • Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and telephone
    • Speak and hear clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone
    • Occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift up to 10 pounds

    • Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $58,000, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience

    Office/Sedentary Role

    Work Environment 

    • This position operates in a professional office environment.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
    • The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate controlled.

     

    Location/Remote Eligibility

    • This is a hybrid role based out of our Des Plaines, Illinois office.  Regular, on-site presence is required (4) days per week or as otherwise directed by the company.
    • The role may be performed in a hybrid work setting (combination of on-site and/or remote), depending on business needs and location eligibility.  When working remote, employees are expected to maintain a dedicated, distraction-free, confidential workspace and reliable internet connection. 

     

    Schedule

    • Work hours may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs.
    • Flexible hours may be required to support deadlines or cross-functional collaboration.
