Partnership Manager
Description
Your Impact
DocAccess is CivicPlus’s purpose-built accessibility solution that automatically generates accessible transcripts of PDF documents, helping local governments meet ADA compliance requirements and WCAG 2.1 AA standards. The Partnerships Manager, DocAccess will play a highly visible, cross-functional role responsible for building, managing, and scaling our partner ecosystem to accelerate growth for this product.
This is not just a relationship management role. It is a commercial, operational, and strategic position that sits at the center of revenue growth, partner experience, and product evolution. The right person will combine strong sales and business acumen with organizational excellence, sound judgment, and enough technical fluency to navigate partnership evaluations, support questions, and product discussions with confidence.
We are looking for an independent, highly organized, and commercially minded partnerships leader to own and evolve the partner motion for DocAccess end to end — from onboarding and enablement through ongoing performance management, issue resolution, and expansion. You will serve as the connective tissue between external partners and internal teams across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Support, Operations, Marketing, and Leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly as priorities shift, and is energized by building structure where it does not yet exist.
About CivicPlus
At CivicPlus, we strive to bring our company vision to life through innovation and collaboration. Supported by approachable leadership and transparent communication, we're empowered to make an impact on local government and the residents they serve. Grow your career alongside great people, where authenticity is welcome, successes are celebrated, and potential is nurtured.
What You’ll Do
As a Partnerships Manager, you will:
Partnership Management & Growth
- Own a portfolio of DocAccess partners, including reseller relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for commercial and operational success.
- Build strong working and executive-level relationships with partner stakeholders.
- Develop and execute partner plans that increase partner engagement, sourced pipeline, revenue contribution, product adoption, and long-term strategic value.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and evaluate new partner opportunities that can accelerate growth.
- Support partner negotiations, business reviews, renewals, and expansion conversations in collaboration with internal stakeholders as needed.
- Help partners position DocAccess effectively in market and improve their ability to sell, support, and grow the relationship.
Partner Operations & Administration
- Own the administrative and operational aspects of managing partnerships — including onboarding workflows, documentation, follow-up, internal coordination, and tracking deliverables — ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Create and maintain repeatable processes, playbooks, and standards for partner lifecycle management.
- Build, track, and report on key partner metrics, including performance, pipeline, revenue contribution, activity, and strategic health.
- Partner with internal teams to improve dashboards, reporting, visibility, and internal systems that support the partnership motion.
- Ensure partnership commitments, action items, and dependencies are clearly documented and executed.
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
- Apply strong business judgment to evaluate the quality of partnership opportunities and recommend where the company should invest time and resources.
- Bring a sales-oriented mindset to maximize outcomes from each partnership and identify practical ways to increase growth.
- Assess partnership performance through both qualitative and quantitative lenses and make recommendations to improve results or exit low-value relationships.
- Support business cases for new partnerships, including strategic fit, expected impact, operational complexity, and resource requirements.
- Help define the overall partner strategy for DocAccess as the ecosystem evolves.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales to align on co-sell motions, partner-sourced opportunities, and revenue goals.
- Partner with Customer Success and Support to resolve partner-related issues and improve the partner and end-customer experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing on partner communications, enablement materials, announcements, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Act as a strong internal advocate for Product, surfacing partner feedback and helping shape requirements for features, dashboards, workflows, and partner-facing functionality.
Technical Fluency & Problem-Solving
- Bring enough technical fluency to understand product capabilities, ask strong questions during partner evaluations, and navigate common technical or implementation-related discussions with credibility.
- Translate partner questions and needs into clear, actionable internal next steps.
- Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to move issues forward and keep momentum high.
Process Improvement & AI Enablement
- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, quality, insight, and scalability across the partnership function.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully and proactively to improve planning, communication, analysis, documentation, and execution — not as a novelty, but as a genuine productivity multiplier.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and create better visibility into partnership performance and next steps.
