Chief Industries’ Corporate Office is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join the Chief team. This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, employment, and employee law compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Maintain personnel files. Conduct audits of new hire documentation.
  • Maintain the company’s applicant tracking system. Assist and develop recruitment strategies. Actively participate in the employee orientation program.
  • Support and/or lead projects and initiatives that result in more effective outcomes for key HR programs and procedures.
  • Administer I-9 and E Verify programs. Maintain work authorization expirations.
  • Administer the Unemployment Compensation program in accordance with state regulations, ensuring all claims are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Administer drug screen program.

 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Two years of progressive HR experience.
  • Degree in HR of related business degree preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
