Description

Chief Buildings is seeking Receiver QC to join the Chief team.  In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials and products to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, identifying discrepancies, and communicating with relevant departments to resolve issues efficiently.
To be successful in this position, you should have strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education:
  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and shag trucks with trailers to unload supplier materials, understanding load capacities and safety protocols.
  • Perform inspections and audits of incoming materials, supporting quality control efforts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage and handle scrap materials generated by production, ensuring proper documentation and disposal.
  • Maintain calibration tools, certified standards, and quality logs to support compliance and traceability.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including performing cycle counts and verifying material quantities.
 
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments, with the ability to operate computers, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Proficient in using hand tools such as tape measures, calculators, calipers, and micrometers; able to interpret bills of lading and calculate weights and lifting requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks under pressure, and apply basic math including decimals and fractions.
 
Shift:
  • 6:00am to 4:30pm
