We are searching for an Application Specialist to join our team!
As an Application Specialist, you'll play a vital role in advancing our mission and supporting our dedicated staff. You'll provide technical and user support for a range of business and clinical software applications, ensuring smooth operations and empowering our team to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver user and technical support for a subset of software applications, acting as second-level support to the Help Desk staff. Applications supported include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)systems such as Infor/Lawson and Workday, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) such as Athena practice, UKG (Kronos time keeping) and learning management system (Litmos) to name a few.
- Investigate and resolve user-reported issues, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely solutions.
- Assist IT management on system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and patches.
- Create scripts and conduct application testing to ensure functionality and changes meet requirements
- Create and maintain comprehensive user and training documentation.
- Assist in requirements gathering for application change requests and new application needs
- Install and upgrade software on client workstations, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Assist with maintaining application configurations and security settings as needed.
- Conduct user training sessions on application and software fundamentals as needed.
- Lead small to medium-sized projects related to software testing and implementation.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Application Support, preferably in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in software applications such as ERP systems, timekeeping applications like Kronos, and Learning Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of database concepts.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, MSO365, and related tools.
- Demonstrated ability to document application functionality and user manuals
- Aptitude for teaching or training users in application usage.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with project management processes and the ability to lead small to medium projects.
- Ability to collaborate within a team or work independently, while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as SQL, SSRS, or Crystal Reports.
This position is based onsite at our Cedar Street location in Cohoes, NY, with occasional travel within the Capital Region.
Compensation ranges from $23.02 to $29.60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
