The Position: The EHR Applications Analyst will support eClinicalWorks for all centers.  The incumbent will work with the entire clinical health care team to support the use of the electronic health record to achieve quality and satisfying work within the system.  This position is responsible for assisting with implementation of best practice workflows in the clinics and identifying EHR custom enhancements as a result of working with the clinical team. 

 

The salary range for the EHR Applications Analyst  position at Center For Elders Independence is $ 82,638 - $ 123,968.  Salary based on the market for the EHR Application Analyst position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide Support as well as escalate issues to Lead EHR Analyst.  If further escalation is needed, work with EHR Lead Analyst and eClinicalWorks technical team. 
  • Build/Assist with building custom templates and smart forms as specified by providers and prioritized by EHR committee
  • Provide initial and ongoing EHR training for providers and clinical staff.  Assist with creating the training curriculum.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in EHR, Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Clinical Software and technologies
  • Provide clinical expertise and assist with project management for implementations, system upgrades and new technology rollouts
  • Support and assist with maintaining all interfaces to the EHR such as Quest, SureScripts and others (ie Lab, Diagnostic Imaging, Rx, etx)
  • Provide consultation and support for complex technology and clinic workflow issues and questions
  • Perform user support and troubleshooting, drive timely resolution of complex issues to achieve minimal clinic operations disruption
  • Ensure that appropriate security groups are maintained for clinical functions
  • Provide support for Meaningful Use, HIPAA, Data Reporting and other regulatory requirements
  • Training as requested and required
  • Other duties as assigned pertaining to eClinicalWorks
 
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, or Healthcare; Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business required
  • Minimum 3 years of build experience on eClincalWorks or other EHR required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience training clinical staff on eClinicalWorks or other EHR required
  • Minimum  4 years of information technology experience in a clinic setting required
  • Certification in current EHR technology, EPIC, eCW, Cerner, Allscripts, Siemens, GE Centricity etc.
  • Licensed driver with access to reliable personal transportation
 
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Ability to teach and train across a broad spectrum of clinical and administrative staff
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient data at all times by complying with HIPAA policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with people with a variety of background and educational levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates knowledge of compliance issues within the clinic environment
  • Demonstrates a willingness to report any incident that is unusual or incompatible with accepted clinic procedures
  • Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
 
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:

  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Travel to Bay Area locations for onsite training, visits, assessments as needed.
