About the Job 
 
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Traditional Enrollment for the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS) is an on-campus, full-time position reporting to the Vice President for Student Life and Traditional Enrollment. The successful candidate must show a proven track record of leadership and supervisory skills for teams that include: Operations, Recruitment, Campus Visits, Events, and Marketing and Communications. The AVP of Traditional Enrollment is responsible for bringing in the new class every fall and spring and leading all efforts to ensure the University meets its enrollment goals. It is strongly preferred that the person selected will have a minimum of five years’ experience of traditional enrollment in Christian higher education. They must be able to collaborate with other leaders within and outside of our campus to meet aggressive enrollment goals.

We’re looking for candidates who have: 
  1. Five or more years of higher education leadership experience with progressive oversight and responsibility. Masters degree preferred.
  2. University admissions and enrollment experience, with a track record of success within a Christian school setting is preferred.
  3. Agree with and fully support CCU’s mission, Statement of Faith and Conviction Statement, Lifestyle Agreement, and Strategic Priorities.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills to perform clear, professional public speaking and presentations.
  5. Positive attitude and willingness to champion the mission and purpose of Colorado Christian University to prospective students, families, high schools, and churches. Model CCU’s Christ like values and Christian character within relationships.
  6. Ability to lead and manage staff, department needs, agendas, and tasks effectively.
  7. Flexibility to manage changes, cancellations, and last-minute details.
  8. Ability leverage enrollment software and systems (Salesforce, Colleague, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, etc.).
Key Job Duties 
 
  1. Contribute to CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the AVP of Traditional Enrollment is a leading driver of the recruitment strategy and efforts to welcome in new students, as well as an ambassador of CCU’s mission.
  2. Lead and manage a staff team of 22+
  3. Oversee admissions standards and the quality control of the process, bringing in students who are prepared to succeed at CCU academically and contribute positively to the spiritual development mission of Student Life.
  4. Manage all aspects of the admission cycle funnel; year over year review of performance and making adjustments as needed.
  5. Set strategy with senior staff team for recruitment travel, events, visits, operational efficiency, and marketing campaigns.
  6. Collaborate with CCU Academy to create a healthy bridge for students to matriculate directly into CUS.
  7. Ensure all data, reporting, and analysis are accurate and distributed to various stakeholders at CUS.
  8. Collaborate with the Vice President of Academic Affairs, CUS Deans, and Faculty to ensure all academic programs are being marketed effectively and promote CCU’s academic excellence.
  9. Collaborate with the Athletics Director to support athletic recruiting processes.
  10. Serve as an ambassador of CCU’s mission and purpose.
Work Environment 
 
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. This position will require travel. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.

Pay and benefits will be discussed in more detail as candidates progress through the interview process.
 
The pay range for this job is: $90,000 - $125,000. Pay is assigned by reviewing a combination of job-related factors that may include: internal/external pay equity, the salary structure/pay grade, or a candidate’s qualifications/experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage and CCU reserves the right to make pay decisions based on economic and equity considerations. CCU does not determine pay based on sex or any other protected status.

Spiritual Requirements

  1. Committed follower of Jesus Christ, who believes there is no salvation apart from faith in his atonement on the cross, by grace alone becoming "born again" thus beginning a personal relationship with Christ, the Son of God.
  2. Able to effectively communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles and convictions in the workplace. Must have a strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University.
  3. Regularly attend and be engaged in meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church. Knowledgeable about the Word of God and passionate about Christian education.
  4. Must be a traditional evangelical Christian whose lifestyle is in consonance with sound Christian principles, is compatible with CCU’s Statement of Faith, and is in agreement with the Strategic Priorities promulgated by the University.
