LOCATION: This role is remote. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones; however, candidates located near a CCS office will also be considered (Boston, New York, Baltimore, Miami, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle). The individual should be comfortable working primarily during Central Time hours. Candidates located near a CCS office may be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with an expectation of coming into the office one day per week.

UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
The Legal & Business Affairs Coordinator provides administrative and substantive support to the Legal and Business Affairs team during a defined engagement period from August through December 2026. This role plays an important part in supporting contract lifecycle management, ensuring proper documentation and compliance, and enabling efficient coordination between legal, business, and external stakeholders.
The Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Legal and Business Affairs function, helping to manage a high volume of agreements, maintain organized systems and processes, and assist in facilitating business transactions. This is a detail-oriented role requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract & Document Management
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting a range of agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, and amendments
- Support client follow-up related to contract status, outstanding documentation, and execution timelines
- Maintain and organize contract databases and tracking systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Monitor contract status, key dates, renewal timelines, and compliance requirements
- Ensure proper execution, filing, and version control of legal documents across systems
Legal Support
- Assist in preparing and maintaining internal legal templates, playbooks, and standard language
- Support compliance-related documentation and updates to internal policies and procedures
- Coordinate document execution processes, including collecting signatures and arranging notarization when required
- Help ensure consistency and accuracy across legal documentation and workflows
Business Affairs Coordination
- Serve as a liaison between Legal, business teams, and external stakeholders to support deal flow and communication
- Track deal terms and assist in compiling summaries of key commercial provisions and contract terms
- Support the intake, triage, and prioritization of legal requests from internal business partners
- Assist in maintaining workflows and processes within contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad, NetSuite, or similar tools)
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide administrative support to Corporate Counsel, including calendar management and meeting coordination
- Assist with reporting, data entry, and documentation of processes and procedures
- Support special projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives within the Legal function
- Contribute to improving efficiency and organization of legal and business affairs processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Relevant experience in legal, business affairs, operations, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information across stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and organize information effectively
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management tools
- Demonstrated interest in legal processes, contract management, and business operations
