TITLE: Finance Business Manager
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA. Candidates located in the Los Angeles area are preferred.
REPORTS TO: SVP, Financial Planning & Analysis
DEPARTMENT: Finance
TYPE: Full Time, Hybrid (two days in-office). Periodic travel is required, including quarterly travel between the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices and travel to New York approximately twice per year.

UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Finance Business Manager to serve as a strategic finance partner to business leaders, driving financial planning, performance management, and data-driven decision-making. This role will provide insights into business performance, lead forecasting and budgeting processes, identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, and help translate financial data into actionable business strategies. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with business partnership skills, the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, and a passion for using data to drive outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and business cases to support strategic decisions.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reporting that enables effective decision-making.
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted finance partner to business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Provide financial guidance on investments, resource allocation, pricing, operational decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Translate complex financial information into clear business insights for executive audiences.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Own monthly financial reviews, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Investigate drivers of revenue, cost, and operational performance.
- Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and operating mechanisms.
Strategic Initiatives
- Support strategic projects through financial analysis and scenario modeling
- Partner with teams across the organization to evaluate opportunities and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or business management roles.
- Financial analysis experience.
- Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building financial forecasts, budgets, and business cases.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting senior executives or business leaders.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of business drivers, operational metrics, and financial performance management.
- Experience automating reporting or improving finance processes.
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000
The exact salary varies within range based on years of relevant experience and education.
