We are seeking a Northeast Field Service Manager to facilitate the Asset Management team’s success by managing field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and repair.

You Will:
  • Support start-up and commissioning of PV and BESS equipment
  • Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to
  • Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public
  • Review projects and define the equipment and service scope with customers and the Sales team
  • Ability to conduct a cost/benefit analysis
  • Oversee ongoing O&M required for all sites
  • Manage and track multiple projects and teams, spanning different geographical locations, and ensure efficient project budget utilization
  • Supervise mechanical and electrical installation, monitor and enforce scope, as well as manage customer expectations at operational sites
  • Supervising the day-to-day activities of Catalyze’s electrical team of in-house and subcontractor electrical technicians across the United States.
  • Liaising between Customers, Engineers, Manufacturers, and Field Employees.
  • Technical Support for field technicians repairing, testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, installing, removing, and maintaining solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and DAS equipment.
  • Ordering and scheduling the delivery of tools, equipment and materials needed for projects.
  • Providing leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties.
  • Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Electrician
  • Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets,  material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed
  • Oversee the scheduling and training of field service representatives and manage service contracts and direct support services
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of commercial battery installations, utilizing expertise in AC/DC electrical systems and low voltage troubleshooting
  • Work cross-functionally and communicate asset operational updates and commissioning timelines to the EPC team, management, and other internal teams to execute an integrated approach to asset management
  • Partner with Procurement to prepare equipment PO’s, installation and parts lists, and vendor required items as well as coordinate shipment and installation to operational sites
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and suggest improvements to business processes and best practices
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of time (on an as-needed basis)
  • Experienced in identifying and resolving performance issues in solar PV systems through precise data analysis and effective implementation of solutions to optimize energy production and ensure system reliability
  • OSHA training and certification preferred.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or 5+ years work experience in related field
  • 5+ years of Field Service Management or Project Management experience; strong technical ability on electromechanical equipment preferred
  • 5+ years of experience performing similar job junctions, including PV, BESS, Power Electronics or EV Charger installations; operations and maintenance; repair; or start-up and commissioning desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar)
  • Ability to work on a flexible work schedule to ensure timely completion of critical projects
  • Previous safety and/or hazmat training a plus
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements in your state
  • Proficiency in AlosEnergy DAS monitoring platforms and expertise in MLPE.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act,  New York City Salary Transparency Law and California Pay Transparency Law, Catalyze provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado,  New York City or California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado,  New York City, NY and California  only, the range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 USD.
