This position will require a minimum of four days in our Centreville, VA office subject to change with future business needs.  Our office will be moving to Reston, VA in 2026!

If so, we want to hear from you!  CARFAX is seeking a Senior Director of Field Sales who will lead a large, remote-based team responsible for selling the CARFAX suite of products.  In this role you will function as our Salesforce expert and build and enhance our go-to-market strategy. 
As the Senior Director of Field Sales, you will:
  1. Manage, train, develop and recruit Field Sales Directors for each of the 3 Sales regions. 
  2. Coach in Prospecting, Pipeline Management, and conducting Sales Conversations (in-person & virtual). 
  3. Utilize best in practice Salesforce techniques to improve and guide overall sales performance.  
  4. Collaborate with related departments and leaders across the business to identify strategies to achieve sales targets and uncover new, high-value opportunities. 
  5. Actively engage in territory planning, opportunity development, and driving revenue by supporting and assisting Field Sales Managers 
  6. Manage and report accurate forecasts and pipelines.  
For this role, you will need: 
  1. 10+ years of sales management/leadership experience 
  2. Extensive Salesforce CRM experience with experience building reports, dashboards, and sales funnels. 
  3. Experience with designing sales and Go To Market (GTM) strategy around new product launches. 
  4. A process-driven mindset. 
  5. Background in sales training implementation. 
  6. A goal-oriented mindset with a proven track record of successfully hitting revenue targets. 
  7. Strong communication skills and extensive experience working in a team dynamic. 
  8. Excellent consulting skills covering all areas of the sales cycle. 
  9. Enthusiasm, and be a highly motivated leader who is hungry, humble, and capable of driving results.
