We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Manager to join our dynamic Information Security team. The Cyber Security Manager plays a vital role in safeguarding the organization's information assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures. This role involves identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. The Cyber Security Manager collaborates with various IT and business teams to integrate security best practices into every aspect of the organization's operations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity team, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align SOC strategy with overall cybersecurity objectives and act as a subject matter expert in security operations.
  • Leverage expertise in threat intelligence, security monitoring, incident management, behavioral analysis, and advanced threat detection to implement cutting-edge technologies, build and operate SOC capabilities, and safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Design, establish, maintain, and continuously enhance SOC capabilities to effectively monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
  • Aggregate and analyze security data using SIEM to identify threat patterns, evaluate alerts, and prioritize them to ensure timely responses to critical threats.
  • Develop and manage SOPs, runbooks, and playbooks for threat triage and incident response, prioritizing alerts and managing security incidents including containment, recovery, and post-incident review.
  • Oversee threat intelligence gathering and execute proactive threat hunting missions to identify vulnerabilities and refine monitoring functions to detect emerging threats.
  • Streamline SOC operations through automation and efficient workflows.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on security incidents and overall security posture for stakeholders, ensuring thorough records of processes and incident management.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or related certifications.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within a SOC environment.
  • Proficiency in security operations, incident response, threat analysis, cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, and experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Effective collaboration skills with IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance SOC operations' effectiveness.
