Manager- Financial Operations
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager - Finance Operations to lead a team of approximately five employees. The team is responsible for analyzing customer contracts to ensure their accuracy and completeness, researching customer eligibility, and entering contract terms and details into our billing system. The Manager will oversee various queues within the CRM system for contract setup and maintenance updates and respond to internal inquiries regarding contract information. Additionally, the Manager will coordinate with the pricing operations team, as well as sales and account management teams, to ensure business rules are properly documented and followed. This role includes the critical responsibility of ensuring that all customer accounts are activated accurately and promptly according to our current terms of service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Directly manage, train, and develop a team of approximately five individuals.
- Establish performance metrics and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
- Evaluate training requirements for the team and update training documentation on a periodic basis.
- Prepare and coordinate training sessions with the inside sales team on current processes.
- Interpret sales contract terms and apply established business rules.
- Establish and report on standard Service Level Agreements (SLA) metrics on a monthly basis.
- Ensure the team meets productivity and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership and representatives on escalated issues.
- Analyze trends in contract setup to identify efficiencies.Utilize data analytics to enhance business processes and improve efficiency.
- Work with technology and project services teams on system changes to support business initiatives.
- Maintain a highly efficient team with low error rates.Identify and implement process improvement ideas between sales and finance operations.
- Leverage multiple technologies and data-driven analysis to report impacts and improve satisfaction between teams.
- Periodically review and update existing business rules to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working closely and successfully with internal Sales, Customer Service, and/or Pricing teams to ensure business rules and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis tools).
- Previous knowledge and experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus).
- Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated creative thinking and the ability to suggest innovative solutions.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Skilled in analyzing data to identify trends and potential issues.
