Benefits Administrator
Description
- Act as subject matter expert for benefits, perks, and people programs.
- Lead open enrollment for over 1300 people in US and Canada.
- Communicate benefit plan information to employees upon hire or transition to benefits eligible status.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and managers on benefit plan provisions, enrollment, changes, retirement, people programs and more!
- Educate employees about benefits and people programs through communications and sessions.
- Maintain relevant documentation, benefits website, and internal communications tools up to date as it relates to benefits and people program information.
- Review and confirm invoices for benefits and people programs as needed.
- File and track US workers compensation claims.
- Address OHSA responsibilities for US locations, including relevant reporting and posting.
- Oversee and confirm file feeds to relevant vendors, addressing issues if they arise.
- Maintain awareness of vendor contacts and act as point of contact between CARFAX and vendors.
- Administer non-leave time off programs (CTO, vacation, sick, flex, etc.).
- Administer people programs, including Calm, EAP, and wellness.
- Stay up to date on applicable legislative changes in US and Canada (sick, vacation, statutory holidays, non-exempt, workers compensation, benefits etc.).
- Manage the implementation of new people programs.
- Support efforts to keep benefit costs below budgets.
- Provide reporting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in US benefits administration is required; Canadian experience is a bonus.
- Experience with HR systems, including ADP, Bamboo, or Workday preferred.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
