Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Nurse Position – Balwyn Veterinary Surgery

About the Role
We are currently seeking a full time experienced veterinary nurse to join our dedicated and friendly team.
Key Details:
- 38 hours per week (would consider part time for the right candidate), including 1 in 3 Saturdays
- Varied shifts including surgery, nurse consults, and reception duties
- A supportive, team-oriented environment focused on patient care and professional development
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting in surgeries and a variety of procedures
- Anaesthetic monitoring/recovery, IV catheter placement, blood collection, and patient care
- Admitting and discharging patients, and liaising with clients
- Surgical and non-surgical assisting of vets
- General reception tasks: appointment scheduling, handling queries, and client account management
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all clinical and surgical areas
- Mentoring and supporting junior nursing staff
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Has a Cert IV VN qualification or equivalent with at least 3 years clinical experience - this is not a trainee position.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Has a professional, positive, compassionate and enthusiastic attitude
- Is passionate about patient care and an advocate for best practice
- A team-first mindset and a willingness to learn and grow
