Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Nurse Position – Balwyn Veterinary Surgery

About the Role

We are currently seeking a full time experienced veterinary nurse to join our dedicated and friendly team.

Key Details:

• 38 hours per week (would consider part time for the right candidate), including 1 in 3 Saturdays
• Varied shifts including surgery, nurse consults, and reception duties
• A supportive, team-oriented environment focused on patient care and professional development

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Assisting in surgeries and a variety of procedures
• Anaesthetic monitoring/recovery, IV catheter placement, blood collection, and patient care
• Admitting and discharging patients, and liaising with clients
• Surgical and non-surgical assisting of vets
• General reception tasks: appointment scheduling, handling queries, and client account management
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all clinical and surgical areas
• Mentoring and supporting junior nursing staff

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Has a Cert IV VN qualification or equivalent with at least 3 years clinical experience - this is not a trainee position.
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Has a professional, positive, compassionate and enthusiastic attitude
• Is passionate about patient care and an advocate for best practice
• A team-first mindset and a willingness to learn and grow
