Graphic Designer I / II (Digital)

Our audience consists of nutrition/wellness/juice enthusiasts as well as those simply curious about how juicing can influence immunity and vitality for themselves and their families.
We are looking to hire a Graphic Designer I or II to join us on the Nama Brand Design Team. This position will be hands-on and responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for web and digital media projects. Projects include creating web page layouts for both product launches and ongoing updates, reviewing work from programmers and communicating changes with the digital ops team, possible email and other digital projects as Nama grows. This role requires the ability to follow existing aesthetics and direction from art and creative directors but also generate new ideas as needed. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in typography and design principles and experience in the digital space. Flexibility, the ability to deal with ambiguity and evolving processes as well as a positive attitude are appreciated. An interest in health and wellness is a plus. Note that this role is mainly digital but experience in the print space is a bonus.
Do you want the following responsibilities?
- Design on-brand creative solutions for websites and email templates.
- Design user interfaces and experiences from scratch.
- Collaborate with internal Nama teams to deliver designs that are creative, useful, and align with technical and brand standards.
- Work closely with Creative / Art Director(s); be able to expand upon established aesthetics
- Work with marketing, project managers, design colleagues, digital, and content experts to deliver a beyond-the-expected user experience.
- Use the latest software and applications to design, develop and deliver digital/graphic solutions.
- Strong typography skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work across multiple departments to provide clear creative and technical input and ensure that the designs are properly built and implemented
- Encouraging others to share and explore their ideas.
- Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released.
- Interest in the latest developments and technologies.
- Identify, resolve, and overcome obstacles/problems; break problems down into manageable parts, be able to see both the big and small picture.
- Detail focused, highly organized, and able to multi-task and effectively manage the timely delivery of work against short deadlines.
- Maintain creative support for the other graphic designers as it pertains to their digital creative projects.
Do you meet these requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Human-Computer Interaction (or relevant UX degree).
- 4+ years professional experience in digital user interface design
- 4+ years professional experience in digital user experience design
- 4+ years professional experience in Graphic Design and the digital space
- Proficient in digital design software, such as Sketch, Figma, XD, etc.
- Proficient in graphic design software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong typography and layout skills.
- Proficient working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Shopify
- Bonus: Email design / Mailchimp
