Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world.      
The SVP, Technology will provide technology vision, leadership, and day-to-day management of the design, development, implementation and operations of Funko’s global information technology systems. You will be responsible for all areas of the IT organization, including Security and Compliance, IT Infrastructure, Operations, Digital, Desktop Services, Enterprise Applications, Analytics, and Integration Services. You'll be responsible for the delivery of enterprise technology initiatives while ensuring quality, reliability, performance, scalability, and security by employing industry best practices.      
In addition to operational responsibility, this is a strategic role that requires a strong partnership with other functions across Funko and the ability to work seamlessly with the executive team. To help influence direction, you will build a strong, long-term technology strategy that aligns with Funko’s overall business strategy while partnering with senior leaders to translate strategic business decisions into effective technology solutions. You'll drive accountability and metrics ownership to translate strategy into results. Additionally, you will align and inspire your organization by effectively communicating and engaging the team in the creation and execution of the Technology strategy.

  • Collaborate with Funko’s leadership in planning and implementing enterprise technology systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations.
  • Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems for all Funko’s business units.
  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, acquisition, development and implementation of major information technology and systems for Funko. You will also ensure appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems.
  • Accountable for the security and recovery of Funko’s systems and data, as well as the management of outsourced and cloud-based solutions. 
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors and other technology resources within the organization.
  • Accountable for the management of communications systems, including voice, data, and office automation, as well as the day-to-day operation, security, reliability and throughput of all network and centralized servers, third-party data centers and desktop and telecommunications services.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of corporate policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation, security and operation of all technology systems.
  • Develop and monitor the approved annual operating and capital budgets for the company’s technology organization.
  • Maintain contact with IT suppliers and maintain knowledge of current technology, equipment, prices and terms of agreements to minimize the investment required to meet established service levels. Evaluate alternatives, perform appropriate cost-benefit analyses and recommends solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.
  • Ensure that all systems and networks operate per internal standards, regulatory entities, and legal requirements.
  • Accountable to support the reporting needs and data analysis for Funko. Ensure that the gathering, processing, distribution, and use of pertinent information required by leadership to make decisions occur in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of a system recovery plan in the event of system or service interruption because of critical or catastrophic events.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and communication of systems and user documentation, policies and procedures including training, as applicable.
  • Foster and promotes an environment of superior collaboration and teamwork.
  • Perform other functions related to this role as deemed necessary.
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry     
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science with 5-10 years of Senior Management experience.
  • 15+ years’ experience building and leading technology teams who tackle complex business and technology problems and implement broad technology solutions.
  • 5+ years’ experience building and leading global technology teams to deliver and support quality enterprise level solutions.
  • You possess a deep understanding of business operations and financial systems in the context of operational business processes.
  • Experience leading technology teams in a public company with a deep understanding of regulatory controls and corporate compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading technology teams for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail and/or Wholesale company.
  • You have a successful track record for delivery in high-growth, rapidly changing business and technology environments.
  • You champion and drive a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and continuous improvement to deliver results and remove roadblocks.
  • You are a strategic corporate partner who can translate business problems into quality technology solutions.
  • You work effectively across the business to influence and create client value.
  • You empower self-organization and responsibility within your teams.
Salary Information      
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $300,000-400,000 annually.​ Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
