The role  

The Credit Strategy team is pivotal to Funding Circle. It’s key in driving the business forward whilst managing risk through the credit cycle. You will work alongside the rest of the Credit Risk Strategy team and cross-functionally to drive positive change that makes a real difference to our customers and investors. 

As Senior Associate we will look to you to analytically shape our credit strategy through meaningful insights and problem solving.

What will you be doing? 

  • You will have the freedom and support to think up new credit strategies, shape them analytically and inspire and communicate across the business  

  • Working cross-functionally with a variety of teams to deliver, monitor and measure the success of these strategies 

  • Embrace innovation in the credit space: understand how new credit data, tools and technology can deliver benefits to our customers and investors 

  • Draw upon various data sources and turn complex analysis into simple articulated visions 

  • Think creatively to continuously improve the way we do things 

What we’re looking for  

  • Experienced in Credit Risk Optimisation with SME or a retail lending environment (2+ years) 

  • A keen problem solver with logical reasoning and analytical methods 

  • A good communicator and presenter 

  • Experienced in SQL & Excel  

  • Able to challenge where appropriate
