PaperCut Solutions Applications Specialist
More Than Pre-Sales—Own and Grow a Line of Business
Are you a solutions-focused professional who can turn complex customer needs into practical technology strategies? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of sales, consulting, technology, and business development?
DEX Imaging is seeking a PaperCut Solutions Applications Specialist to serve as the subject-matter expert and business owner for our PaperCut portfolio. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen sales performance, support customer success, and drive the continued growth of an important line of business.
About DEX Imaging
DEX Imaging is the nation’s largest independent provider of office technology, document-handling equipment, and related services. With locations throughout the United States, we have built our reputation by delivering exceptional customer service—and by hiring, developing, and supporting great people.
The Opportunity
As the PaperCut Solutions Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for the growth, development, and overall health of the PaperCut Line of Business at DEX.
This position combines business ownership, solution consulting, sales enablement, vendor management, and strategic growth. You will collaborate with Sales, Solutions, Implementation, Marketing, leadership, and PaperCut’s partner organization to increase adoption, revenue, profitability, and customer value.
What You’ll Do
- Own the performance and strategic growth of the PaperCut Line of Business, including pipeline, revenue, win rates, deal size, adoption, and profitability.
- Analyze performance, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop actionable go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with sales representatives and MPS consultants to identify, qualify, and develop PaperCut opportunities.
- Lead customer discovery, solution scoping, technical design, and customer-facing demonstrations.
- Manage the end-to-end quoting process by converting vendor pricing into customer-facing quotes, applying DEX’s standard markup, building configurations in Salesforce, and assisting sales representatives with deal processing.
- Maintain pricing governance and ensure quotes and deals align with standards established by leadership.
- Support the development of proposals, Statements of Work, presentations, and other sales materials.
- Serve as the primary escalation resource for complex PaperCut opportunities.
- Create and execute a PaperCut enablement strategy for MPS consultants and sales teams, including training, demonstrations, tools, and resources that help identify and pursue qualified opportunities.
- Serve as DEX’s primary PaperCut subject-matter expert and maintain strong relationships with the vendor’s sales, channel, technical, and partner teams.
- Evaluate emerging print-management solutions and vendors to help determine whether they should be added to DEX’s technology portfolio.
- Partner with the Implementation team to ensure solutions are properly scoped and documented before handoff.
- Use implementation outcomes and customer feedback to continuously improve future solution design and sales strategies.
- Identify new markets, industries, and use cases in which PaperCut can deliver meaningful value.
- Work with Sales leadership to uncover high-potential accounts and develop cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
What You Bring to the Team
- Business ownership: You approach the PaperCut portfolio as a business you are responsible for growing—not simply a product you support.
- Commercial acumen: You understand how pipeline, revenue, margin, pricing, and business strategy work together.
- Consultative selling skills: You can uncover customer needs and translate them into practical, appropriately scoped solutions.
- Initiative and autonomy: You are comfortable taking ownership, making informed decisions, and moving work forward without detailed instructions.
- Cross-functional collaboration: You can build strong working relationships across Sales, Solutions, Implementation, Marketing, leadership, and vendor teams.
- Excellent communication: You communicate clearly and confidently in writing, presentations, demonstrations, and customer conversations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
What DEX Offers
- Opportunities for career development and personal growth.
- Comprehensive in-house training.
- A team-oriented culture that recognizes and celebrates its people.
- The opportunity to stop simply going to work—and start building a meaningful career.
Working Conditions
- Regular business hours, with occasional additional hours as business needs require.
- Because DEX serves customers nationwide, some meetings across different time zones may occur outside standard local business hours.
- Up to 10% domestic travel.
