Position Summary:

We are recruiting for a Director, Sales Engineering  to join our team.  In this role you will report to the VP, Sales. You will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy of the Sales Engineering organization, as well as leading and developing the Sales Engineering team and aligning department goals with overall company goals. You will also be developing innovative concepts and promoting new ideas to better the organization, while following up quickly on areas of opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of Sales Engineers and work closely with the Sales team to help secure new sales opportunities  with both prospects and customers across a wide set of innovative companies and multiple industries to meet annual recurring revenue (ARR) and customer retention targets
  • Recruiting, hiring, and leading Sales Engineers
  • Driving consistency of planning and execution of a highly repeatable proof of value (POV) throughout the Sales organization
  • Partnering with the Enablement team to build and execute a continuous enablement program
  • Providing guidance on complex, escalated technical issues utilizing in-depth knowledge of the company, product and industry
  • Working with multiple levels of management throughout the organization to drive operational improvement
  • Developing the strategy and tactical execution of the System Engineering organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of years of pre and post sales experience within the IT and/or software security industry
  • 1+ year of experience leading and directing a team
  • Demonstrated experience translating technology to solutions that solve business problems to all audiences, ranging from technical to executive-level decision makers 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, especially with other departments to ensure partner and customer satisfaction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Ability to travel as opportunity/need requires

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance or related discipline
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment
