Snow Heavy Equipment Operator (On-call, Overnight, Part-Time) Plymouth/Twin Cities, MN

Snow Removal Plymouth, Minnesota Minneapolis, MN St. Paul, MN

Description

Position at BrightView Landscapes, LLC- DE

At BrightView, the best teams are created and maintained here.  If you are searching for your next fulfilling career, picture yourself on a best-in-class team where you can grow to be your brightest.  We’re looking for a Snow Equipment Operator. Can you picture yourself here?

THE STARTING RATE OF PAY FOR A SNOW LABORER THIS SEASON IS $30.00 PER HOUR BUT COULD GO UP SLIGHTLY FROM THERE BASED ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS YOU HAVE.

Snow Season positions are Seasonal, Part-time, ON-CALL & OVERNIGHT positions for most Branches though there could be more hours for some Branches depending upon contracts. You will not likely start work until the first snowfall of the year so there could be a significant period of time between receiving and accepting an offer of employment before you start working.

As a company, we use E-Verify; which means, you MUST have the actual documents required to prove your right to work in the US in order to interview and receive an Offer of Employment.

The requirements for this role are the ability to reliably commute to the Branch, Authorization to Work in the US (physical documents required to prove), Valid Driver’s License, preferably a Chauffer’s License (OR BEING ABLE TO OBTAIN ONE BEFORE STARTING WORK.) and the ability to report to the Branch in an On-Call manner, when contacted and asked to do so. Please note: This is hard, physically demanding work in extreme temperatures, often OVERNIGHT and for 4-12 hours at a time. You are NOT guaranteed to only operate Heavy Machinery. You could be needed at times to help the Sidewalk Crew with either Hand tools (like shovels) or smaller machinery. This is not work for the faint of heart, so please consider all of this before applying. Please also note: Heavy Machinery experience is required for these roles.
Phone interviews could start as soon as next week, though there has been no in-person interview timeline shared by this branch at this time. The season starts on the first measurable snow fall that cannot be handled by the full-time crew we retain all year.

Here’s what you’d do:

The Snow Equipment Operator must be interested in learning to do all aspects of snow removal during the winter.

You’d be responsible for:

  • Valid Driver's License with the Chauffeur's endorsement (Chauffeur's license) and the ability to drive to a variety of work locations in assigned territory
