Job Summary
  • The Financial Reporting Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis services including preparation of financial information for internal and external use and consolidation of the general ledgers. This role provides technical support to members of the Finance and Accounting team on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This role also assists with the corporate accounting function, coordinates internal and external audit delivery efforts, and helps to document accounting policies and procedures. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform month-end close procedures, including recording month-end journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation of the general ledger, including elimination entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual SEC filings, including the consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and other required information, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to members of the Finance and Accounting teams on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance reviews.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure documentation, deliverables, and financial reporting meets agreed deadlines and quality standards.
  • Preparation of annual environmental social and governance reporting, including calculation of greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Prepare bank compliance reporting.  
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 1-2 years of financial accounting and SEC reporting experience.
  • Strong interest and experience in working with U.S. GAAP, SEC, and financial covenant reporting requirements.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Precise, deadline-driven, mature-minded, organized, communicative and creative team member.
  • Proficiency with Excel financial modeling, PowerPoint presentations and other financial software (VBA macros a plus) with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with JDE, CoStar, Active Disclosure, and/or OneStream preferred but not required.
 
 
Work Environment:
  • This role operates in a hybrid office environment, requiring in-person three days per week in the Blue Bell BrightView corporate office.
