IT Solutions Analyst
Description
- Work with customers (aka users) across BRG to analyze and understand business and technical needs and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Manage multiple projects focusing on ensuring Expert Solution Delivery.
- General Project Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess business requirements with the customer
- Design unique/non-standard to BRG IT solutions
- Provide cost and performance estimates
- Collaborate with internal IT staff, external support, and Vendors
- Document architecture and train others for handing off maintenance and support
- Manage end-to-end projects for onboarding SaaS solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, solution design, implementation, integration, user training, and ongoing support.
- Maintain understanding of key workflows, cost allocation, licensing, and support related to cloud services.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of cloud services to ensure optimal recommendations and operations.
- Provide reports and analysis of cloud utilization, optimization, and value added.
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation of issues related to cloud architecture, security, and applications.
- Assist in data engineering tasks, system administration, database administration, and data transmissions.
- Automate and operationalize routine tasks.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing of new or changing solutions.
- Assist with development of BRG cloud strategy and governance.
- Maintain knowledge and documentation on the latest trends and technologies and conduct research and development of patterns and best practices.
- General system maintenance and downtime for relevant data systems, providing Tier III support operations.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new skills with rapidly realigning needs of BRG technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering with 5+ years relevant business experience.
- Demonstrated domain expertise implementing and maintaining cloud platforms.
- Strong organizational and communications skills.
- Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proven, strong experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically:
- Creating, optimizing and maintaining Azure Virtual Machines, Blob Storage,
- Azure Billing and Cost Management
- Experience with Azure Networking
- Data platforms and other PaaS offerings
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) equivalents
- Experience with Windows PowerShell
- General understanding of data platforms such as DataBricks, Snowflake, SQL, and Fabric
- General understanding of data visualization such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with commitment to accuracy.
- Quick and able learner; can adjust to shifting priorities, projects, and roles.
- Must be highly organized and able to handle a variety of duties, frequently with limited timeframes.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
