Our Summer Associate internships will be approximately 8 weeks in length and will begin Summer 2025. Summer Associate positions are for candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Support project leaders and Managing Directors in preparing qualitative and quantitative analysis of key strategic, economic, and market analyses
  • Contribute to client interaction via email and conference calls as appropriate.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials for clients
  • Demonstrate creativity to develop solutions to novel business and policy problems.
  • Organize your time and prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to review work product for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, write business proposals and proposed work scopes, and contribute to other office and team functions.
 
Qualifications:
  • Progression toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Energy, Accounting, Environment-related majors from a leading university;
  • 0-2 years of prior work experience preferably in a related field including internship
  • Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research
  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with senior management
  • Desire to work within a team environment as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research
  • Advanced capability with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and Outlook
  • Commitment to producing high quality analysis and client deliverables
  • Experience in statistical analysis programs (e.g., Stata and R), Tableau, SQL, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ), with a desire to expand those capabilities.
Hourly Range: $25-40/hr
 
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.
