Description
- Support project leaders and Managing Directors in preparing qualitative and quantitative analysis of key strategic, economic, and market analyses
- Contribute to client interaction via email and conference calls as appropriate.
- Assist in preparing presentation materials for clients
- Demonstrate creativity to develop solutions to novel business and policy problems.
- Organize your time and prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to review work product for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, write business proposals and proposed work scopes, and contribute to other office and team functions.
- Progression toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Energy, Accounting, Environment-related majors from a leading university;
- 0-2 years of prior work experience preferably in a related field including internship
- Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research
- Strong quantitative data analysis skills and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with senior management
- Desire to work within a team environment as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research
- Advanced capability with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and Outlook
- Commitment to producing high quality analysis and client deliverables
- Experience in statistical analysis programs (e.g., Stata and R), Tableau, SQL, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ), with a desire to expand those capabilities.
