JOB TITLE: Tournament Traveler – Bowling Ball Express Associate
LOCATION: Tournament Site (Las Vegas, NV or Reno, NV)
POSITION TYPE: Temporary Full-Time
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Bowling Ball Express Supervisor
WORK HOURS: Monday – Sunday (hours vary depending on tournament schedule), ability to work extended hours, as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY:
USBC is seeking dedicated, service-minded individuals to join our tournament traveler team as a Bowling Ball Express Associate. Bowling Ball Express team members support the operation of a premier shipping and receiving center, providing essential services including the receipt, storage, and shipment of bowling equipment for athletes, vendors, and tournament venues. Bowling Ball Express Associates play a vital role in ensuring the smooth logistics and overall success of USBC Championship events.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving – Unload and coordinate the storage and distribution of customer, vendor, or tournament equipment and/or supplies.
- Storage Management – Safely store bowling balls and related gear in designated areas, maintaining organization and accessibility.
- Shipping – Package and schedule the shipping of customer, vendor, or tournament equipment and/or supplies.
- Carry out financial tasks – Comps, incentives, and POS sales/records.
- Regularly participate in scheduled meetings and huddles. Keep tournament leaders apprised of department activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

• Focused–The ability to complete tasks accurately in a distraction-filled environment.
• Computer and communication systems literate - PC, POS, phones, and two-way radios.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or continual learning education.
- Must pass USBC’s Registered Volunteer Program (RVP) background screening and adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program (RVP).
- Shipping, receiving, and inventory experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Must be adaptable and flexible.
- Must always be neat and well-groomed, as this role will have frequent contact with guests, clients, and supporting staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to work in an occasionally noisy and intemperate environment with potential short-term exposure to non-toxic fumes.
- Must be mobile as well as stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift 65lbs repetitively and occasionally up to 100lbs.
TRAVEL: This position will require the employee to be on-site for the Championships, so relocation is required for up to 6 months at a time.
